Walking The Lot
Walking The Lot

For those of you unacquainted with the Lot, you will find it to the south of the Limousin in southern central France. It used to be described as an area which was undiscovered by tourists but that has now changed and several English families have made their homes here. However, it never seems to be crowded except on a market day in one of the many towns and villages.

The Causse de Gramat where our accommodation is situated is a national park containing some wild, rocky and wooded scenery, towns which have played host to the Knights Templar, relics of the 100 years war and much more.

Le Marronnier, our 16th-century stone farmhouse, faces south to the Célé valley in an area known as "Place del Sol" - "Place of the Earth". This spacious house sleeps six people -with privacy assured. Le Marronnier can be hired for Gite holidays during the Summer, and for escorted walking holidays during the Spring and Autumn.
